Sonia Kruger is the Development and Events Manager at Our Kids Count, where she combines creativity, relationship-building, and a genuine passion for strengthening communities. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English, a Bachelor of Education, a Human Resources Diploma, and is a graduate of the Nonprofit Management Essentials program. Sonia began her career in education, spending 10 years working with both children and adults before transitioning into Human Resources. Seven years ago, she found her true calling at Our Kids Count, starting as a Community Support Worker and discovering firsthand the power of community development. Three years ago, she moved into fund development, where she now has the privilege of connecting people, businesses, and organizations with meaningful opportunities to create lasting change for children, youth, and families. Whether she's planning fundraising events, building partnerships, or dreaming up some big idea, Sonia brings enthusiasm, heart, and just the right amount of organized chaos to everything she does. Outside of work, you'll usually find her with a good book in hand, spending time with her family and beloved animals, or tackling yet another project—because sitting still has never really been her thing.
